The Takeover
in One Afternoon

One sign is up. Pair it with the GTA VI landmarks around it in one afternoon.

What's Actually Up

As of October 4, 2026, one piece of Miami's GTA VI takeover is installed: the "Welcome to Vice City" sign on the Kaseya Center roof. The banners, the beach chairs and the airport, port and park ideas are not up yet or only proposed. They're listed below so you don't go looking for them.

The route itself costs nothing: every stop can be seen from the street or plaza at no cost. The arena, the museum and the arts center need a ticket to go inside, and the Metromover is free to ride.

The sign sits on Biscayne Boulevard, which GTA VI calls Catalan Boulevard. The same stretch holds a run of places from the trailers and screenshots, so this route pairs the sign with them. The stops go south to north, in street-number order.

Start at Bayside. Finish at the Metro Mule.

The Route

Six Stops, South to North

  1. Bayside Marketplace and Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel

In GTA VI: unnamed in official material · Strong match

    Public

Rockstar's night skyline screenshot of Vice City shows a Ferris wheel on a pier. Journalist Joel Franco, the GTA Wiki and GTADB match it to the Skyviews wheel here.

Bayfront Park next door is mapped by the GTADB community as "Shoreline Park?" (the question mark is theirs).

Our Downtown Heat convoy starts here and walks the Bayfront Park promenade.

401 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

  2. Kaseya Center

In GTA VI: Sahara Arena · Strong match

    Installed Sept 22 Ticketed inside

The takeover piece you can see today: pink-and-white "Welcome to Vice City" letters on the arena roof, lifted into place by helicopter on Sept 22.

The finished sign was first shown lit on Oct 1. No nightly lighting schedule has been published.

Under terms reported by gHacks (the agreement itself is unpublished), the sign stays until about Sept 22, 2027.

In GTA VI the arena is Sahara Arena, home of the Vice City Narcos. The plaza and bayfront outside are public; the inside needs an event ticket.

Per Axios Miami (Oct 2), a Vice City clothing collection is already in the Heat team store. Our Downtown Heat route avoids Kaseya event nights because of garage use and closures.

601 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

  3. Marquis Miami tower and neighboring Ten Museum Park

In GTA VI: possibly The Celtica Hotel (unconfirmed name) · Strong match

    Exterior only

The tower with the notched cutout in the Trailer 1 skyline. Exterior only: it holds The Grayson Hotel and residences.

1100 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

  4. Pérez Art Museum Miami

In GTA VI: no in-game name known · Probable match

    Ticketed inside

Across the boulevard in Museum Park. Community mappers spot a clear rendition of the museum on the in-game bayfront. The match comes from community mapping only (GTA Wiki and GTADB), so it is rated a probable match.

1103 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

  5. Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts

In GTA VI: Vice City Arts Center · Strong match

    Ticketed inside

Shown in an official screenshot, and called the Vice City Arts Center by the GTA Wiki: a performing-arts complex straddling Catalan Boulevard with a footbridge and an Art Deco tower. The real one kept the 1929 Sears building's tower.

1300 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

  6. Miami Metromover

In GTA VI: Vice City Metro Mule · Strong match

    Public

The blue-and-grey Vice City Metro Mule train in Trailer 2 is the Metromover. It is free to ride.

Metromover wraps were in the county's June 29 pitch deck. They are proposed, not approved.

Adrienne Arsht Center Metromover station, NE 15th St, Miami, FL 33132
