The match rating
★★★★★ Confirmed: shown or named in Rockstar material, and Rockstar's own copy makes the real-world link explicit. So far that only holds at the region level: Vice City is Miami and Leonida is Florida.
★★★★ Strong match: an unmistakable one-to-one visual match, documented by at least two independent sources, including press or editorial.
★★★ Probable match: one solid documented comparison.
★★ Fan theory: community reasoning without a clear visual match. We list these so you know what's being discussed, and we label them.
What counts as evidence
Official trailers (with timestamps), the 26-minute Extended Look, Rockstar's screenshots and rockstargames.com/VI copy; press comparisons from Miami and games media; and community mapping from the GTA Wiki and GTA VI Landmarks Data (CC BY 4.0, map.gtadb.org). Claims that rest only on the 2022 leak are excluded.
Images
In-game images are frames from official trailers and official screenshots, © Rockstar Games, shown for commentary and comparison. Real-world photos come from Wikimedia Commons, with the photographer and license credited on each page. Illustrations of our tours and regions are our own artwork, made in the style of GTA VI's key art.
Things change
Buildings get demolished and roads close. Where a matched place has changed, like the demolished Jack of Hearts site or Ocean Drive's car closures, the location page says so. Spotted an error or a new match? Email hello@miamigtatours.com and we'll check it and credit you.
