The real-life locations
Vice City is not invented. It is Miami, redrawn. Here is every landmark confirmed or convincingly matched so far — and how to stand in front of each one.
Rockstar's Vice City is the studio's version of Miami, set in the fictional state of Leonida — Florida with the serial numbers filed off. Trailer by trailer, fans and local press have matched dozens of shots to real addresses; Miami New Times mapped twenty of them. This is the working list our experiences are composed from, updated as new footage drops before the November 19, 2026 release.
South Beach & Ocean Drive
The Clevelander → "Ocean View Hotel"
1020 Ocean Dr · Miami Beach
The cleanest one-to-one on the whole map. The in-game Ocean View Hotel copies the Clevelander's Art Deco massing and even the signage treatment. If you see one location, see this one — it is the definitive side-by-side photograph.
Ocean Drive & the Art Deco Historic District
Ocean Dr, 5th to 15th StThe neon-on-pastel strip that defines every Vice City trailer frame — roughly a mile of 1930s hotels: the palette, the porthole windows, the eyebrow ledges. Finest at blue hour, when the neon comes on — exactly how the game lights it.
Lummus Park & the boardwalk
Ocean Dr & 10th St · Miami BeachPalm rows, lifeguard towers, the volleyball nets. The beachfront geometry of the game's daytime footage reads directly off this stretch.
Downtown & the waterfront
Kaseya Center → "Sahara Arena"
601 Biscayne Blvd · Miami
Home of the Miami Heat, rebranded in-game as the Sahara Arena. Same bayfront siting, same relationship to the skyline wall behind it.
Port of Miami
1015 North America Way · Miami
One of the busiest cruise ports on earth and a recurring establishing shot in the trailers — gantry cranes, stacked containers, the city rising behind. We shoot it from the Dodge Island causeway viewpoint.
Tresor Tower penthouse
Miami BeachThe luxury apartment and pool of the trailer footage matches a real penthouse here. An interior, so it is a drive-by — but it tells you how literally Rockstar's location scouts worked.
Wynwood & the districts
Wynwood Walls
2516 NW 2nd Ave · Miami
An outdoor museum of large-format murals and the source of the game's street-art language. Wynwood is where the game's color story actually comes from — coral, teal, sun-bleached concrete.
North Miami Beach
Collins Ave corridorThe quieter, taller, more residential coastline that appears in the game's non-South-Beach beachfront scenes.
The Florida Keys → the Leonida Keys
US-1 south from Key Largo
The map runs well past the city into a Keys analogue — mangroves, stilt houses, the overseas highway. Beyond a three-hour tour's range; it is the natural full-day composition for 2027.
What remains unconfirmed
Little Havana and Calle Ocho, the Everglades airboat country, Hialeah and the Miami River waterfront all appear to have in-game analogues based on trailer footage, but Rockstar has confirmed no specific landmarks. On tour we present those as "matched, not confirmed" rather than overselling them.
Rockstar has reportedly pitched Miami-Dade County on dressing the airport, PortMiami and Metrorail stations as Vice City for launch. If that lands, the city itself becomes the exhibit.
How to see them
Ocean Drive and Lummus Park walk in an hour. Everything else spreads across twelve miles of city with unforgiving parking — which is why the Vice City Run exists: South Beach, Wynwood, Downtown and the Port in three open-air hours, the in-game frame at every stop.
